It is really handy that you can steam and puree the food with one machine that doesn't take a lot of space. I like the Baby Chef Ultimate Baby Food Maker bell that tells you when the food is done steaming. I found you have to experiment a little with adding water to get the right consistency for pureeing.

I was skeptical on the bottle warmer in the beginning due to the reviews that I read, but it actually works very well. I warmed up a room temperature cold 4oz baby bottle for 5 minutes and it came out very warm. If I am to feed my baby, I should not warm it for that long. Most importantly it works!

I bought this Baby Chef Ultimate Baby Food Maker when I found out I was pregnant, not realizing how much I would actually become dependent on the baby food maker. I really don't want to buy pre-made food for my baby, so I started using this when my baby turned 6 months old. I love that you can cut up the veggies, put them in the machine and hit steam and walk away not have to worry about it.

When I blend the steamed veggies I usually add a little more water so that there are not little chunks of food in the puree. I have been making baby food for my baby since she was 5 months old. Just peel and chop your veggies, fill the cup with water to the line, push the "steam" button, wait for it to beep, then transfer to the processor jar and hit the puree button.

Oh and did I mention the bottle warmer? It worked perfectly for us. It warmed the bottle in seconds and beeped when it was finished. II steamed some carrots for 10 minutes and it came out great as well! So I am very happy with this baby food maker. I was considering Baby Brezza in the beginning as well, but the bottle warmer that Baby Chef has cannot be beaten.
